Bigger the Show, Bigger the Laughs!

The Atlantic City Comedy Club is unapologetically modeled after the New York Comedy Club with it’s dimly lit, intimate space that makes you feel like the comedian isn’t on a stage but on your coffee table in your living room. This, of course, is all by design to help make the feel of the room pop with laughter and give the audience a unique comedy experience.  But the “underground” comedy club isn’t the only way to experience a comedy show - and no I’m not talking about a Netflix and chill evening on the couch.

Starting December 21st, The AC Comedy Club and Claridge Hotel team up to bring you a comedy experience like no other inside The Celebrity Theater. The 500+ seat venue provides an incredible “mega-event” like atmosphere that brings you a larger than life performance that you can only believe when you see it live! Being a part of the “roar of the crowd” as laughter echoes throughout the theater is truly a special thing to witness and there will be no shortage of laughs with the lineups headed to the grand stage.

Starting things off on the 21st, Anthony Rodia brings his off the wall characters, crazy stories, and unique delivery to the boardwalk. Rodia gained fame from his social media presence and is known for his Uncle Vinny character and his “Road Rage Wednesday’s” and now is selling out clubs all throughout the East Coast. But that’s not all, on January 25th, Comedy Central’s Chris DiStefano headlines the theater!

DiStefano is one of the hottest comics in the game right now and he’s only getting hotter. Chris has been all over Comedy Central and has been selling out large venues all over the country, which is sure to become a trend as he continues to become one of the biggest acts in comedy.

Atlantic City Comedy Club’s Celebrity Theater Comedy Series is sure to bring some unforgettable nights of comedy to the New Jersey area. Big theater, big names, and bigger laughs make up the perfect recipe for a one of a kind special night of comedy that can’t be duplicated from your couch.

Summer Recap

As the summer comes to an end, and we prepare for pumpkin spice everything, the temperatures start to fall and the boardwalk cools off, but the Atlantic City Comedy Club is just starting to heat up.

The AC Comedy Club got a new home this past summer at the historic Claridge Hotel and welcomed some of the countries top touring comedians to their brand new stage. Having the likes of Eric Neumann, Gary Vider, Graham Kay and Casey Balsham bring the house down night after night, it’s amazing to think the roof didn’t blow off. But it was local comics like Chris Cotton, Che Guerrero and Rus Gutin that really brought the fire!

The calendar is now full of shows from Thursday-Monday nights and showcases not only the best of the best from the New York Comedy scene but also the local tri-state area. So for every headliner like Alingon Mitra, there’s a new comic like the “Buzz of the Boardwalk” Dan Altano crafting their style of comedy.

Now don’t be mistaken, this is never amateur night or a new talent showcase. This past summer the Atlantic City Comedy Club presented an all-pro lineup every time they turned the lights on. Even the guys from the Fresh, Drunk, and Stoned Tour brought their popular west coast show to the east and rocked a July weekend!

If this summer is any indication of things to come, The AC Comedy Club and the Claridge Hotel are surely going to be the hottest place to be in New Jersey, even in the middle of winter. Better make that an iced pumpkin spice latte!

There's No Place Like (A New) Home

Home is where the heart is, and that heart beats with laughter. The Atlantic City Comedy Club’s new home at The Claridge Hotel has provided a gorgeous new backdrop for some of the countries top comics to perform.  Located on the 3rd floor of the historic hotel, right across from the Celebrity Theater, the club has created the perfect venue for a night full of laughs!

The candlelit room is an intimate space that makes you feel like the comedian is telling jokes directly at your table. The low ceilings ensure that there’s nowhere for the laughs to escape creating an environment ideal for comedy, comedy fans, and the comedians themselves. The club even added the classic brick wall background to the stage.

Since it’s grand opening in May, the club has hosted some of the funniest talent in the comedy game today. Eric Neumann and his #1 comedy album on iTunes kicked things off opening weekend. Eric’s infections smile and lovable persona was the perfect way to set the tone of the new location.

And that was just the beginning, as comedy veteran Seaton Smith, the outrageous Mike Lebovitz, and H. Foley and Kevin Ryan of The Hard Feelings Podcast all brought the house down in the following weeks making the Claridge Hotel and the Atlantic City Comedy Club THE place for comedy!

Atop the hotel is the Vue, a beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant that boasts an immaculate view of AC as well as being the perfect place to grab a pre show drink. Whether you’re looking to catch a good Instagram shot of the sunset, or just enjoy the Saturday night DJ, the Vue is a hidden gem of AC nightlife.

So if you’re looking for a night out with the girls, a guys weekend, or just a fun Saturday night, the Claridge Hotel has it all. And now being the new home of The Atlantic City Comedy Club, there’s no better place to be in town.
